I have small, thin legs and the calves of the boot cut into my calf where under no circumstance would I be able to wear them without extreme discomfort. I wear a size 7.5 M and no half sizes were available, so I sized up to an 8 M, and it was a tight fit to get into. If the calf part wasn't so small (this is boot on bare calf) I would have exchanged them for a size 9. I am returning them for a refund. Even though, I believe I was mislead concerning the calf size, I have to pay return shipping anyway "because it wasn't Amazon's fault". Buyer beware.
